Boarding

$42.00 first dog / $69 two dogs in same suite
Dogs with good temperament, who will allow those other than their owner to handle them, will be accepted for boarding.
No dogs in season can be accepted for boarding.
Current Vaccinations: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordatella. All vaccinations must be administered at least 7 days prior and no longer than 12 months prior to boarding.
Flea and tick prevention: we require all pets to be maintained on a monthly flea and tick preventative such as Frontline or similar product.

Birds: Complete avian veterinarian physical exam, within the past year, including oral and fecal cultures and an avian bloodworm panel.
Ferrets: Current on Rabies & Distemper

Training

This is a popular and very effective course taught by one of our trainers. The course is 3 weeks. It covers all the basics with concentration on specific issues that you may have with your pet. This produces a very solid obedient dog and gives the owners the tools and knowledge to continue successfully continuing the training. Your dog will learn all basic commands with emphasis on manners in all situations. This program also helps the owner learn as well with two training sessions (1 at 2 weeks and the other upon pickup) so that they will be successful once returning to “the real world”. Videos are posted on our Facebook page and Youtube of our sessions so that our clients can follow their pets progress while they are staying with us. We work very hard to not only “reprogram” your pet and establish new habits but to teach our clients how to continue the work when they return home. This program is $2300.00 (payable in 2 installments if needed).
Going on vacation and needing to board your pet anyway? This is a great solution to keep your dog interested and engaged, we can start from scratch or work on specific issues and make improvements where they are needed. This program is $75/day which includes the boarding fee & a transfer lesson to get the owner up to speed.

During the one-week boot camp, we begin structured training. We work on focus drills such as leave it and off, controlled leash walking, come, sit, and stay down.

For owners desiring personal instruction tailored to the needs and personality of their dog. We can address any number of issues that owners typically have and are unsure of how to resolve. We find that private instruction give pets the best start, group lessons are “fun” and provide socialization for the dogs, but when working on specifics we think it’s more effective to work one-on-one. 1 hour session $85.00

Kitty Playtime
Each Kitty Playtime lasts about 15 minutes, depending upon the age and health of the guest. Playtimes are spent playing laser tag, “chase the mouse,” or “attack the feather.” Playtimes are tailored to each guest’s needs and likes in order to ensure their well-being and enjoyment. Guests from the same family can enjoy Group Playtime together. All Playtimes are B.Y.O.C. (bring your own catnip!).

Kitty Cuddle Time
For older or more relaxed guests, CCI offers Cuddle Times which are individual sessions spent in one of CCI’s rocking chairs. Cuddles are spent brushing, petting, massaging and cuddling the guest with the goal of making them comfortable, relaxed and pampered (on their own terms, of course!)

Woods Walk
A mile long stroll around the property. Plenty of chances to run, sniff and pee.

Is your dog a frequent visitor at the dog park? Group playtime is a great way for dogs to socialize & visit with other, like-minded dogs. Supervised by our attentive staff, we limit the number of dogs in our playgroups to 2 pets per staff member. These 1/2 hour play sessions are great fun for your social butterflies!

Daily Training
One on one private tutoring session with your pet and one of our training staff. We will work on whatever behavior(s) you request. (A short pick-up lesson for the owners is available upon pickup).

Our philosophy at Shenandoah Valley Boarding & Training is simple: To provide a comfortable and safe environment for your pets to stay in while away from home. All of our friendly, knowledgeable staff members are certified in Pet CPR and First Aid for the safety and well being of your pets.

While all that sets Shenandoah Valley Boarding & Training apart from other boarding kennels, it’s our staff and guests who make us what we really are. Yes, we have a beautiful, state-of-the-art, award-winning facility, but it isn’t just the facility that wins us awards, It’s the people who work here and the clientele itself, who make it all come together so wonderfully.

While there is no place like home, we think we’ve come pretty close. All of our canine guest are outside four to five times a day, either for a romp in one of our exercise areas or a walk with one of the staff. We are “hands-on” and get to know your pet which allows us to notify you of any issues or subtle signs that you pet might not be feeling his or her best.

Tours are available every day from 9:00-11:30 AM to 3:00-5:30.

During the holidays, we ask that you please call ahead to ensure tours are available.
We politely ask that you leave your pet at home while touring our facility.
In the event that your pet is with you, we ask that he or she wait for you in the lobby. This is to ensure the health of your pet, as well as our current pet guests. Your pet will be supervised by one of our pet care staff until you are finished with your tour.
